An introduction to Arts Based Therapy
The CHILD Course ( an acronym for Certificate in Holistic Inclusion of Learners with Diversities), through Aatman Academy for Research and Training (AART) is the brain child of Ms. Manjushree Patil, who has designed a unique course for in-service teachers, school heads and educators to equip them with the skills to become inclusive education practitioners. In Keeping with its motto of inclusive education, our Founder Director Ms. Swetha Chincholkar engages each year with a group of enthusiastic participants to take them into the world of Arts Based Therapy and its effective practices in ensuring complete inclusion for all eager learners.
Children’s day celebration
Doctors Without Borders/ Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is an international, independent, medical humanitarian organisation that delivers emergency aid to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, natural disasters and exclusion from healthcare. MSF offers assistance to people based on need, irrespective of race, religion, gender or political affiliation.
The Mumbai project focuses on treating patients with Drug resistant TB and HIV.
On the Occasion of World TB day, we interacted with over 50 kids in the pediatric clinic of those afflicted with DR TB. A beautiful session exploring the role of the Arts as a medium in healing was done not just with the children but also with their parents.
